Read our guide to help you decide
-
Eco-Friendly funeral flowers
Eco friendly simply means making an effort to be kinder to the environment; this could either be by using foam free designs or wire frames that can be repurposed after the funeral.
Examples of eco friendly designs are the planted living wreath, floral wreath onto moss and our signature design ‘gifting spray’ which can be deconstructed after the funeral and given away to those attending.
We always endeavour to use as much eco-friendly packaging as possible - for example, raffia, twine and natural floral foam, and can tailor any mechanics to ensure they are suitable for natural burial grounds.
-
Biodegradable funeral flowers
Choosing your tribute can depend on what sort of celebration you are having, and what you want to happen to your tributes afterwards.
Biodegradable funeral flowers means all the materials used in your floral arrangements will breakdown fully back into the earth.
This could be in the form of using wicker, wooden or moss frames for displays and natural biodegradable twine.
Other examples are wicker, or birch wreaths with fresh cut flowers or tied sheaves with raffia bind.

Traditional funeral flowers
Traditional does not refer to with the style of flowers - you can have a traditional choice of flower in an biodegradable display for example.
Traditional refers to tributes created using floral foam (oasis) and tributes could also include plastic bases and wires.
Examples of these are double ended casket sprays, wreaths, crosses and hearts.
Traditional flowers are, by design, going to last longer and retain their form better, which makes them a popular choice for burials grounds like church graveyards.
